Known as a pioneer in space education, James Liu is headquartered in Houston, Texas, in the United States. He has a successful track record in information technology business. Throughout his career, he has challenged conventional educational paradigms and motivated young people all over the world, winning praise for his cutting-edge approaches on a global scale.
James has worked closely with top universities, international space organizations, and NASA space facilities to advance STEM education on four continents and to motivate young people in close to twenty nations. Many of his past pupils have gone on to succeed in their careers as professors, company entrepreneurs, and professionals.
In 2005, James co-founded the Houston Association for Space and Science Education and set up its famed "HASSE Space School." By linking them with astronauts, scientists, and engineers at space and academic institutions, the initiative offers humanities and science students cutting-edge learning experiences, allowing them to pursue their interests and objectives.
For its outstanding substance, James' book, "Igniting Dreams: Inspirational Stories of NASA and Space School," has won multiple international accolades.
James frequently speaks at educational facilities, business organizations, and international conferences like TEDx because he is an active member of a global community of entrepreneurs, educators, space enthusiasts, and change agents. He emphasizes the value of having big dreams and a growth mindset.
James has an MBA from the University of Melbourne and is an alumnus of the Singularity University Executive Program. The United States House of Representatives honored his outstanding contributions to the community & Education Innovation Impact Award from the Iternational Trade Center both in 2023.

In the heart of Houston, James Liu, a visionary entrepreneur, has been transforming space education globally for twenty years. Leading HASSE, he advocates for STEM learning through the acclaimed "HASSE Space School," recognized for empowering youth with vision, igniting their passion, and instilling the courage to dream. The school's exceptional reputation is founded on its collaborative approach, integrating insights from astronauts, NASA experts, and leading academics from the University of Houston, Rice University, and Texas A&M. Its curriculum is enhanced by partnerships with private space companies and prominent figures in Houston’s business sector, blending advanced science with real-world applications.
His work breaks through the constraints of traditional education models and inspires young people to pursue excellence. Highly esteemed in Houston's space community, including NASA, private rocket companies, astronauts, scientists, and educational professionals, he received both the Special Contribution Award from the US House of Representatives and the Houston Innovative Education Impact Award in 2023. He was a featured speaker at the Tokyo International Education Forum and TEDxTaipei.
His book, "Igniting Dreams," has won numerous domestic and international awards for excellent reading material for youth, is recommended by many high schools and colleges, and is collected in libraries across several countries.

Houston Association for Space and Science Education (HASSE) was founded in 2005, providing students worldwide with inspiring and creative learning experiences, setting a benchmark in international education and emulated by many international organizations and businesses. HASSE's influence spans four continents, motivating youth and educators in over 20 countries, with many alumni becoming distinguished entrepreneurs, scientists, engineers, scholars, and professionals. The robust HASSE educational team includes former International Space Station commanders and NASA astronaut, with Dr. Leroy Chiao serving as the chief advisor.
